Prep for your Tan!
Follow these steps in preparation for your next airbrush tan. Proper prep and aftercare ensures for the best outcome for your tan. Please ensure that your skin has no active sun burns as spray tans cannot be performed on burnt skin. Slek Artistry provides all the necessary tools for your tan to turn out beautiful. It is the clients responsibility to follow prep and aftercare, failure to follow proper prep and aftercare can result in an undesired outcome.
Any type of beauty services should be performed at least 2 days before your tan or after your tan fades. This includes waxing, manicures, pedicures, facials etc.
Please shower normally the night before your spray tan. In this shower you will want to shave where needed and exfoliate using an exfoliating mitt. Moisturize your body well after this shower. Avoid using Dove products, Bath & Body Works or Victoria's Secret soaps or lotions.
The day of your spray tan, you will want to come with clean skin. Free of: makeup, lotions, oils, deodorant and perfumes, as all of these can act as a barrier preventing proper development of your spray tan. Do NOT shower right before your tan (up to 6hrs before).
You will want to have/bring something DARK and LOOSE to wear after your spray tan and while you develop. Slek Artistry offers disposable underwear for your choosing, or you may wear what you're comfortable with. Please Do NOT wear or bring anything valuable.
In the case of rain or bad weather during your tanning appointment, please cover head to toe to protect your tan. Bring an umbrella, closed toed shoes, and park as close to the salon as possible.
